Women's Cross Country named an NCAA Academic All-American Team
The Centre women's cross country team has been named one of 187 squads to receive NCAA Academic All-American status for the 2011-12 fall semester.

Three Centre runners named NCAA Academic All-Americans
The USTFCCCA announced the members of the NCAA Women's Academic All-American team today after releasing the men's team yesterday. Three runners from Centre College were named to the list.

Jones, Kieffer, Owens honored at KTCCCA Awards
The Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association had its awards banquet on Saturday, January 7. Centre's Track and Cross Country programs were represented well at the event, taking four of the eight major awards given out to college athletes and coaches.

Eklund named to SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team
The SCAC released its conference All-Sportsmanship Teams today, as each coach nominated one male and one female runner to be their schools' representatives on the teams.

Cross country teams finish season at nationals, Kieffer named All-American
The Centre men’s and women’s cross country teams’ season came to a close today at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Both teams finished 31st out of 32 competing schools, but the biggest story from the Badger State was the remarkable race run by John Kieffer.

Centre men 2nd, women 3rd at Regional Championships
The Centre cross country teams participated at the South/Southeast Regional Championships today in Seguin, Texas. In the Regional Championships, the top two teams automatically advance to the national championships and the top seven individual runners from the non-automatic qualifiers also advance to nationals. Today in Texas, the men’s team finished second, while the women finished third.

Polio, Rehkamp earn Runner of the Week honors
The Centre Cross Country teams swept the SCAC Runner of the Week awards for the last week of the regular season as Willie Polio won the men's award and Bekah Rehkamp won the women's award.

Cross Country teams fare well at Southeast Classic
The Centre Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams competed in their first meet in three weeks today at the Southeast Classic in Mount Berry, Ga. In a meet that should serve as a good tune-up for upcoming postseason meets, the Colonels posted strong finishes against some of the top NAIA schools in the country, with the men finishing fifth out of 34 teams and the women finishing second out of 35 teams.

Centre Cross Country teams win Centre Invitational
The Centre Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams had an outstanding day at today’s Centre invitational, winning their respective competitions. The men finished with 30 total points, while the women scored 16 points.

Centre Invitational Preview
Following a third place finish among Division III schools at Sewanee last weekend where the Colonels finished 19 points behind South/Southeast Regionally ranked #2 Rhodes College, the Centre women hope to win their home meet for the fifth consecutive year. This year, the Centre Home Invitational will change the race format from a 6k to a 5k.

Cross Country teams make strong debut in Sewanee Invitational
The Centre men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the 31st annual Sewanee Invitational today and both teams kicked off their seasons with impressive showings, with the men taking third place out of 11 teams and the women taking fourth.
