Niehaus qualifies for NCAA Championships

Centre senior Emily Niehaus has been selected to participate in the 2012 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Claremont, Calif.

The Cincinnati, Ohio native is currently seeded fourth in all of Division III in the hammer throw after her throw of 54.85 meters at last month's SCAC Championships at Birmingham Southern. 4.12 meters separate Niehaus from the top seeded throw in the field.

The NCAA Championships will begin on Thursday, May 24th. Heat sheets for the event will be posted on May 23rd, after which an update on what time the women's hammer throw will occur will be posted on the schedule page.
