Merchak selected to All-Sportsmanship Team in women's lacrosse

Centre's Andrea Merchak was named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's All-Sportsmanship Team for women's lacrosse, the conference announced Wednesday.

Merchak, a freshman midfielder from Lexington, Ky., was one of six players named to the team, which honors one athlete from each team in the conference who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season.

Merchak tallied 12 points on the season on 10 goals and two assists. She also had 12 ground balls, 12 draw controls and caused eight turnovers.

Merchak statred 11 games for a Colonels team that went 13-5 overall and tied for first place in the SCAC in the regular season with a 4-1 conference record.
