Bachert named the SCAC Women's Golfer-of-the-Week

Bachert tied for second place at the very competitive Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational that took place from Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20 at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Jekyll Island, Ga.

She opened the invitational with a 76. Bachert shot a 74 on the second day of play and on the third and final day she recorded an 80 for an overall score of 230. She finished just one shot behind medalist Kelsie Carralero of Methodist College who shot a three day total of 229.

The Colonels took third place out of 20 teams with an overall team score of 977 (322-329-329).

Bachert is currently first in the Golfstat Cup standings and fourth in the country for Division III women's players.

The Centre women will next compete in their annual Centre College Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 2. the event will take place at Danville Country Club in Danville, Ky.
