Centre men break four records in indoor season
The indoor season is in the books for the Centre men's track and field team, and it was one of the most productive indoor seasons in Centre history, as the men set four records in only three meets.
Junior Monte Scotton (Cleveland, Tenn.) set a record in the 60m at Anderson with a time of 7.39.
Sophomore Cesar Hernandez (Chelsea, Mass.) broke the record in the 500m with a time of 1:12.04.
Sophomore John Kieffer (Dublin, Ohio) recorded a time of 8:46.33 in the 3000m, breaking a record that had stood since 1990.
Sophomore Nick Niehaus (Mainville, Ohio) established a new record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.04, a first time distance for this year.
The outdoor season will begin on March 17 with the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis.
