Freire named to 2012 SCAC Baseball All-Sportsmanship Team

Centre College junior Matt Freire has been named to the fourth annual 2012 SCAC Baseball All-Sportsmanship Team as announced by the conference Thursday, May 17.

"Matt has been an outstanding representative of Centre and our baseball program," Centre head coach Mike Pritchard said.

"He's been one of our hardest workers and has always worked to be the best teammate he can be since he arrived been at Centre. His season was cut short due to health reasons, but Matt continued to do whatever he could to help the team, and served as a great mentor to our younger players." 

The SCAC places a special emphasis on sportsmanship each year - asking all fans of the conference to exhibit good sportsmanship at all conference functions throughout the the 2011-2012 season.
